Following a fire onboard a Ro/Ro vessel in Belgium — caused by a vehicle during loading operations — BlueTack. was contracted to assist with the ongoing emergency response efforts, support firefighting teams, stabilize the situation, and help regain safe access to the car decks.
 
Once the vessel was stabilized, we coordinated a full discharge operation in collaboration with partner Hein Heun Group B.V., waste management specialists. This operation focused heavily on the safe removal and handling of vehicles affected by the fire—ranging from fully burnt-out cars to those exposed to significant soot contamination.
 
Adjacent works were also undertaken to ensure the vessel could safely depart the port, undergo necessary repairs, and return to service.

A complex case requiring quick coordination, technical expertise, and close cooperation across multiple teams and between responders, the shipowner and the terminal.
