OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE LARGEST SLUICE IN THE WORLD.
On Wednesday 26 January 2022, His Majesty the King officialy opened the IJmuiden sea sluice. The sluice was build by the OpenIJ consortium consisting of BAM-PGGM, VolkerWessels and DIF which are responsible for the design, construction, financing and maintenance of the new sea lock for a period of 26 years.
