SHE-Q OFFICER
Job description
The SHE-Q Officer is responsible to regulate and work with operational departments in achieving compliance with company procedures, client requirements and applicable legal and industry standards in Germany.
This position reports to the Global SHE-Q Manager in the implementation, maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (SHE-Q) Management System. SHE-Q Officer reports to Global SHE-Q Manager of DISA International Group.
Key Responsibilities
Management System Support
- Maintenance of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).
- Support the development, implementation and revision of SHE-Q policies, procedures, forms and guidelines.
- Ensure controlled distribution and updating of management system documentation.
- Monitor compliance with company procedures and standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Audits and Inspections
- Plan, organize and participate in internal audits.
- Follow up audit findings and corrective actions.
- Conduct workplace inspections, safety observations and compliance checks.
- Communicate with external auditors during certification and client audits.
- Maintain audit and inspection records.
Incident Reporting and Investigation
- Create reporting, investigation and analysis of incidents, accidents, near-misses and non-conformities.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
- Maintains incident statistics and reporting systems.
Operational Support
- Provide day-to-day SHE-Q support to operational teams.
- Review project SHE-Q-documentation prior to mobilization.
- Carry out risk assessments, toolbox talks and safety campaigns.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings when required.
- Promote safe working practices throughout the organization.
Training and Awareness
- Prepare and deliver SHE-Q inductions and trainings.
- Ensure that training and competency requirements are identified, communicated and periodically reviewed. Support personnel awareness programs regarding quality, safety and environmental requirements.
- Promote a positive safety culture.
Environmental Management
- Monitor environmental aspects and impacts.
- Instruct regarding waste management and environmental compliance.
- Support environmental incident reporting and investigations.
- Promote environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives.
Reporting
- Prepare monthly SHE-Q statistics and reports.
- Track and report on SHE-Q performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare information for management review reports.
- Maintain records required by the management system
Authorities
- Authorized to stop work and report unsafe acts or conditions that present an immediate risk to personnel, assets or the environment.
- Authorized to request corrective actions from departments regarding SHE-Q non-conformities.
- Authorized to conduct inspections and audits within the scope of the management system.
- Authorized to communicate SHE-Q requirements to company personnel.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Safety, Quality Management, Environmental Management, Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and Safety Culture Ladder.
- Knowledge of German legislation applicable to safety and well-being at work, environmental protection and diving, as well as civil construction industry.
- Experience in civil construction offshore, marine or industrial environments is preferred.
- Good understanding of risk assessment and incident investigation techniques.
- Strong communication and organizational skills. Good command of German and English language.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary (and multi-cultural) teams.
