The MSC Napoli was built in 1991 and had a capacity of 4,419 TEU (62,000 tons). While on route from Belgium to Portugal, severe gale force winds and huge waves caused serious damage to Napoli's hull, including a crack in one side and a flooded engine room. The ship was then 50 miles (80 km) off the coast of The Lizard, Cornwall.

Project Mooie Meid N28
Salvage of capsized vessel – Nearby Oostend North Sea. The vessel was found floating keel up. The salvage consisted of oil prevention, parbuckling the vessel and safe redelivery on even keel along quay side
The salvage of the capsized trawler N28, located aprox 20 nm from the French-Belgian coast, was successfully completed by Multraship Salvors from Terneuzen.
